ROOTED IN QUALITY
Blyth Building Company brings craftsmanship and experience to every project. Founded by Robby Blyth, a Triangle native with 15 years of experience as a residential building project manager, the company is an embodiment of his values and personal integrity. After 12 years working with noted Raleigh builder Greg Paul, Robby’s business launch is a continuation of building better homes for current and future generations of Triangle residents.
With extensive experience working with the City of Raleigh, local architects and designers, Robby’s foundation is built on relationships that produce results. Robby hires only quality vendors and subcontractors and holds them to the same high standards of integrity to which he holds himself. In turn, his subcontractors approach each job as a part of the Blyth Building Company team. These relationships have led to the completion of over 50 additions, renovations, and new construction projects, ranging from historically significant homes to high-end townhomes.
GUIDED BY INTEGRITY
Robby values initiating and nurturing client relationships and enjoys working with clients who appreciate fine craftsmanship and quality of built space. Before studying construction management, he studied jazz saxophone–an experience that shaped the way he approaches his role on the jobsite. Like the conductors he studied under, Robby brings together disparate parts–in tune and on time–to work toward a beautiful final product.
Of course, that final product is beautiful, in part, because of what happens inside it–the day to day life you build between the walls and windows. Robby believes homes are sacred spaces, and he treats them with care. This care often takes the shape of practical details, like minimizing mess and inconvenience and making sure homeowners are looped into conversations that affect their space.
He takes the same care with his business, choosing quality at every turn. For Robby, building is personal–a way to contribute to a city he loves and nurture a sense of place. He serves on the board at Emmaus House and recently oversaw a renovation of their newly acquired property that will house 8 men. He has lived in downtown Raleigh since 2004, where he has renovated two homes for his family–wife, Rebecca, daughters, Isla and Evelyn, and loyal K9 companion, Boone.
